NEUROLOGICAL REHABILITATION

Living with a neurological condition can present unique challenges, but meaningful progress is possible with the right rehabilitation program. Our therapists combine compassionate, one-on-one care with the latest evidence-based techniques and innovative rehabilitation technologies, including interactive tools like BlazePods—to help you improve function, regain confidence, and achieve your highest level of independence. Whether your goal is walking more safely, reducing your fall risk, or returning to the activities you enjoy, we're here to help you every step of the way.

WHAT IS NEUROLOGICAL REHABILITATION?

Neurological rehabilitation is a specialized form of physical therapy designed to help individuals improve movement, balance, coordination, strength, and independence after a neurological injury or diagnosis. Whether symptoms are caused by a stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, or another neurological condition, our goal is to help patients maximize their function and improve their quality of life.

At Central Physical Therapy, we combine evidence-based treatment with advanced rehabilitation technology to create engaging, individualized therapy programs. By incorporating innovative tools alongside hands-on care and therapeutic exercise, we help patients challenge their balance, reaction time, coordination, and mobility in meaningful ways that translate into everyday life.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING TREATMENT

Based on your goals and diagnosis, your therapist will develop a personalized treatment program that may include:

  • Balance and fall prevention training

  • Gait and walking retraining

  • Functional strength training

  • Neuromuscular re-education

  • Vestibular rehabilitation (when appropriate)

  • Transfer and mobility training

  • Coordination and reaction time exercises

  • Functional task practice

  • Manual therapy

  • Therapeutic exercise

  • Home exercise programs

  • Caregiver education and support

To enhance therapy and improve engagement, we also utilize advanced rehabilitation technology, including BlazePod® reactive light training, which provides interactive visual cues to improve reaction time, dynamic balance, coordination, cognitive processing, agility, and dual-task performance.
